Training & Gym Rules
Be on time and stay for the duration of your session. Show the discipline and attitude of a true athlete.
No reservation, no workout. We want to ensure maximum training quality, which can suffer when sessions get overcrowded.
Introduce yourself! We're a community, and a family-like atmosphere is more fun and works better when we know each other!
Listen up when the coach is speaking! Anything else is a distraction to the group, puts your safety at risk, and shows a lack of respect.
Leave your ego at the door! Accidents and injuries happen! They're usually caused by impatience and false ambition. Don't be greedy, take it slow, ask for help.
Let's be respectful of each other's personal space during workouts. That way, we can all stay safe and focused.
During sessions, let's keep conversations and phone usage to a minimum. This helps ensure that everyone can hear the coach's instructions loud and clear.
Please be sure to clean up after yourself when you're done working out. This includes wiping down equipment and mats, and disposing of any rubbish or personal items in the proper place.
Let's all do our part to encourage and support our fellow athletes. We're a community, after all, and a positive and motivating environment can help us all reach our goals.
Remember, safety always comes first! If you're not sure about a movement or exercise, don't hesitate to ask your coach for guidance. We're all here to help each other succeed.
Respect your equipment! Unloaded barbells, barbells with 10lbs plates, or kettlebells should not be dropped. The floor and equipment will suffer otherwise.
Keep the chalk in the bucket! Chalk is necessary for a better grip on your hands. Anywhere else, it just makes a mess and creates more work.
Be honest! Count correctly, maintain the standards, and always use proper technique, no matter how long it takes. Don't cheat yourself or others. Dishonourable performance earns no respect.
Cheer each other on! Motivation is key to your success! Use the group's energy to push yourself to the limit! Leave the coaching to the coaches.
Respect your limits! Our workouts are tough, and the weights are heavy. If you're not there yet, ask your coach or scale down. It's not weak, it's smart!
"Train hard but smart!"
Don't indulge in self-pity! Never say "I can't." Saying “I can’t” = 10 Burpees
You will squat and move heavy weights. That's the end of the story!
No special treatment! You can do your own workouts during open gym time, but not during a session.
Put your equipment back neatly after your workout! You're responsible for your sweat, blood, chalk, handprints, or any other mess you leave behind.
After the WOD, it's time for the next one! Move conversations or additional stretching to the side to avoid disrupting the next session.
Bring your friends!
Please pay your fees, drinks, etc. without being prompted. We don't want to have to ask you. It's just common courtesy!
